Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, --- Ooooh, whew - wipe a tear... :)

Once again, Chris and were exploring the world of You Tube - A little addicting I must admit. This particular night, I had been up pretty late working on my online classes, and let me tell you - by 2:30 am, the computer was not included in my group of friends. I was taking a little break to let my brain chill for a while, when I came across this. Now, I might have been a bit "slap-happy" at the moment, it was 2:30 in the morning at this point, but all the same, I had a pretty good laugh! I am not going to lie - I think a tear or two might have escaped my right eye. :) I woke Chris up and made him watch it too. We both got a pretty good kick out of this. I know pretty much everyone out there can relate to this one! Have Fun!

We Actually Got To Eat Dinner!

Okay, so the other night, Chris and I got brave and decided to take the family out to dinner. (I'm not sure if is was actual bravery, or just the absolute lack of desire to have to cook and then clean up the mess... ) So we gathered everyone up, and off we went.
When we arrived, we were pleasantly suprised to find out that apparently it was family night - Brilliant! But the best part --- There was a balloon guy there, which totally rocked! The guy was a little on the weird side, but we all got through that alright. :) So why was the balloon guy so awesome? So when Chris and I take the kids out - as all parents are aware - Chris and I always wind up in a finely choreographed production to maintain sanity (our own, as well as all of the innocent bystanders). We alternate who will leave the table to get things, while the other stays to entertain the children. Food is everywhere - We always pack along a "Mega" sized bag of wipes, napkins can never fully clean the mess our children seem to create all over themselves and each other. We are just going to skip over the whole food all over the floor thing. And 10 min. into the whole process, each of the children have already been to the bathroom at least twice, several drinks have spilled, and most (if not all) of the children are in tears -- and the food hasn't even gotten to our table yet! Yep - restaurants love to see us walk through the door. :)
But this time there was a Balloon Guy! He was making balloon animals for the kids for free - and of course the kids wanted one. At first I felt bad making the guy stand there and make 5 animals. Turns out, the kids loved him! First they had to eat all of their food in order to get a balloon (we need this guy at home), and then they had to behave while they waited for him to come to our table. When he finally reached our table, they were all mesmerized by him the entire 20 min. he stood there. CHRIS AND I ACTUALLY GOT TO EAT OUR DINNER! - That doesn't even happen at home - we seriously need this guy at home.
Ya, we definately tipped that guy - and he was worth it, bless his soul!

This One Is Pretty Good!!

So one night, Chris and I found a rare moment of time where all of the children were asleep - That's right, bed time at the Horton house actually went amazingly well, and all of the kids were asleep. Well, I think I still might have been working on getting Ethan to sleep, but hey, 4 out of 5 is not too shabby! :)
So we basked in the moments of freedom and relaxation by perusing the endless abyss known as You Tube.... Quality time. :) In our browsing, we came across this. Now we would like to have a brief moment of silence to honor those brave and unfortunate souls who have dedicated any amount of time to working in a call center, we know that through that experience they have been made stronger! (Chris and I have both been there, and wish never to return) ......... Okay, well that was great!
Now check this out, and we hope you laugh as much as we did. ENJOY!!

(Let me warn you - there are about 3 or 4 curse words in this, My appologies! -- And it will be better if you hit the pause button on the play list to the left of the screen.)

Quick Catch Up

So we have decided to join the masses and become a blogger family! Actually, we are excited to have such a fun way to keep in touch with our family and friends, both near and far. For those we have not seen for a while, here is a quick "Catch Up" on the family.

Chris and Rachel: We were married in July of 2001. After 2 years of marriage we decided to begin adding to our family. Being the efficient people that we are, we thought -"Hey, let's not waste any time here!" So we hit the ground running starting with the birth of our twin boys Ryan and Jonathan. Since then, the last 5 years have been very eventful and busy for our growing family. We were blessed (maybe a little faster than we anticipated) with two more little girls Sarah and Addison, as well as Ethan, our sweet baby boy.

We have lived in Pocatello for the last 5 years ( a place neither of us thought we would end up, but ironically we have stayed here the longest of the other places we have lived since we have been married).

Aside from being the hero who walks through the door at the end of the day to rescue the children from the endless woes of being with mom all day, Chris is also working for the State of Idaho Industial Commission, and attending school part-time here at ISU to complete his master's degree in Public Administration. The children absolutely adore him, and he willingly returns the favor.

Yes, I stay home with the children, and by 5:00 p.m., Chris is also the hero who rescues me, and I couldn't ask for more! :) I love to have him around, and we are all happier when we see him come home.

Ryan and Jonathan: Though I hate to group them together, when I talk about one, it is hard not to talk about the other because they naturally do everything together. They are both, of course, inseparable. They are turning 5 this year, and are pretty much the coolest kids on the block (according to Ryan and Jonathan) because they get to go to kindergarten this year! They are ABSOLUTELY excited, and this is by far (again, according to Ryan and Jonathan) the biggest event of their lives. They are sweet older brothers, and they love to play with their siblings and cousins.

Sarah: If you were to ask Sarah what she wants to be when she gets bigger - she would instantly inform you that she is predestined to be a PRINCESS, and she is learning early, at the age of 3, how to fulfill her calling as such. She loves all things "Girl" (Especially princesses - thank you Disney!). Though she can be very girly, she is also always ready to get down and dirty with her older brothers, and actualy can out due them in many physical challenges.

Addison: Our sweet little Addie Grace just turned 2 and is finally getting to the age where she can be included by her older siblings more, which makes Addison laugh with happiness as they run through the house. Addie is a very sweet and gentle girl with a great sence of humor. She laughs at just about everything, and loves to tease the family and make us laugh. She loves her little brother Ethan, and when she is sad, allowing Addie to sit on the couch and hold Ethan has proven to be a very helpful tactic to ease her crying. :)

Ethan: Or as the kids call him; Little Easton (we are still working on the "th" sound...) was born in Dec. of 2007. He is a sweet and happy baby. He rarely gives us a moment's trouble, and is so excited to be up and running around with his older brothers and sisters, he just can't seem to get his body to work fast enough! That seems to work out ok for him, because he generously grins and giggles at anyone who will look at him (heck, they don't even have to be looking at him) so the children are always enticed in his direction to see who can make him laugh the most - Very smart boy! :)

Well, there we are. Probably more than you cared to know, but I had fun! :) We look forward to keeping intouch with all of you!
