I know - Sarah's dance recital actually happened back in January. I feel so bad. I have been so busy that I just didn't have the time to get her movie done. I was getting things ready for her birthday movie (wich was 2 weeks ago - I am behind on that one too) when Sarah asked if she could watch her dance movie. I had to regretfully admit that it was not done yet. So with new motivation, I was finally able to get it done so she can now enjoy it all she wants.
Getting video of Sarah's actual recital got a little tricky. As her teacher, I had to be up on stage with the girls showing them what to do, so I was not able to record the dances myself, Chris was busy that night attending his classes that couldn't be missed, and so I quickly handed the camera to the mother of another girl in Sarah's class and asked her to film what she could - knowing that she was trying to film her own daughter as well. Sarah did two dances. The video of her tumbling routine went pretty well, I was able to get a couple of good clips of Sarah. The ballet routine didn't turn out too well in terms of the video, but we got a couple of good still pictures.
Sarah did a great job, better than I expected, because the rehearsal did not go so well when Sarah suddenly developed a bout of stage fright. It was a lot of fun to be there with her. Sarah didn't have dance classes this spring because we were all too busy, and now she is EAGERLY awaiting when her dance classes will resume this fall.
So here we go, a little refresher from a couple of months ago. Our sweet little dancer.
